The Morisca de Mancor is an olive variety indigenous to the island of Mallorca in Spain. It is one of three protected varieties through the island’s Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) status. (The other two are Arbequinan and Picual) It’s known to fair well in higher altitudes.
And it is thought to have arrived on the island through the region of Aragon, Spain, and from there, the country of Syria.
